NYC Highhh

Just got back from NYC. It was amazing, etc, etc.

My friend (whom I stayed with and went for [her graduation ceremony was Saturday. Shout-out to her!]), told me that I’ve caught the NYC-bug (and I don’t mean bed-bugs, tyvm). She told me that she could totally see me relocating there because I “acted like a New Yorker”, apparently. Not too sure what that means, but I’ll take it. She wasn’t the only one. Yesterday evening we were sitting in front of some forzen-yogurt shop window, chillin’, and this man was next to us on his phone, texting. We were going back and forth between English + Arabic - because that’s what we do when we talk - when he asked us what language we were speaking. We told him, and then he said that he worked in advertisement and that we gave him a great idea for a commercial (an IRL mad man, basically). He said that the idea was to do a commercial where two people are talking, and each word would be in a different language. SO, if you ever see a commercial as such, just know who inspired it. ;-) (lolz, me funny.)

I did karaoke for the first time at a karaoke bar. In front of a crowd. To “Overprotected”, by Britney (the theme song to my life, hello). The whole ordeal was pretty symbolic to moi. Me, singing Overprotected, to a crowd, for the first time, in the big apple. I mean.

We also went to see Avenue Q on Off-Off Broadway. I had no idea what it was about before I went, but I loved it.

It was like one big coming-of-age trip for so many reasons, which all can’t be mentioned here.

And yeah, maybe this NYC-bug thing is only temporary. Perhaps it’ll wear off by next week
(most likely), but for now I’m just enjoying the high.
