Today was so tiring

But very fulfilling.

I love being back at uni. Love learning about shit.

I’m still upset that I didn’t get into a course that I was wait-listed for all summer though — ‘Theocratic and Secular Discourses in the Arab Renaissance/Nahda’. FUCK.

I wanted this course so badly. It’s being taught by my favorite professor in the department. :/

I even emailed him, begging to be let in. To which he replied:

 I appreciate your interest in the course, and I am sure you know how much I would like to have you in my class. Though, I have 18 students already in the course, meaning that I have 3 students over the limited number accepted in that course, in addition to 2 PhD students auditing the course. Thus, it is not possible to have any other student in addition to what I have already.

To make matters worse for myself, my dumbass forgot to check-in for the waitlist last Friday, so I got dropped from the queue. :( I was previously in position number one, meaning that if anyone in the course decided to drop it, I would have automatically been accepted into it.

Oh, and did I mention that it’s taught in Arabic?
