Got into all the courses that I wanted for next term for. Yay. Was on the waitlist for one (arab499E), but I logged in, and found out that they added 5 more seats for the course, and since I was number 2 on the waitlist I got in. :-)

Only drawback is that I had registered for a history course in place of the course (because I assumed that I wouldn’t get into it) called “Islam in Europe”that I was reallllly looking forward to taking. Plus, the professor for it is supposed to be awesome. Oh wellz. Apparently they offer it every spring, so hopefully I’ll get to take it next year.

Anywhoooooo, I’m taking the following:

• Anth360: Method and Theory in Sociocultural Anthropology
• Arab499E: Modernity and Chronology of Modern Egypt in Cinema 
• Anth468I: Langauge As Practice
• Arab499D: Introduction to Arabic Linguistics
• Arab499C: Sexuality and Gender in Arabic Literature and Film (lol, I’ll be shocked if we don’t end up watching Caramel in this one)

Excited about them all tbh.

Also, pretty sure that I will have no finals for any of these classes (fuck yess), but I know for a fact I’ll have a shit ton of papers to write.. -_-
